Peace officer in Quebec
A peace officer is a person whom the law gives powers to enforce the law, such as arresting or detaining someone. In Quebec, police officers are peace officers everywhere. Other jobs carry that status within a specific scope: the special constable, the highway safety officer and the military police officer. Here is what the law grants each of them, how to get in and what they earn. This is not legal advice.
